Evergreen Valley College

Want to install Linux® on your computer or just find out more about it? Come to the installfest in room RF-241 on the Evergreen Valley College campus!
Evergreen Valley College is located in southeast San Jose, nearest to the Yerba Buena exit from Highway 101. See Map
NOTE: The campus is hosting an India festival on 20 June 2009, and they are charging for parking for that event. If you are asked to pay a parking fee ($7.00), tell the person that you are on campus for the computer installation class in room RF-241. The India festival staff has been told not to charge people who are here for other purposes.
The closest parking area to Roble building (where the installfest will occur) is on the west side of campus. Paid parking is enforced every day. You can buy one-day parking permits from the machines in the parking lot at $2 each.
The following is what we tell all our students, and it can’t hurt to repeat it here.
We will be in the Roble building, room RF-241. It’s a green building, labeled 2 on the campus map.
If you are approaching from the Paseo de Arboles parking area, go up the stairs to the second floor of Roble. If you’re coming from the Yerba Buena Road parking area, downhill past the fountain (the red arrow on the large parking map) the second floor is at “ground level.” The building is built on a hill, and this fools absolutely everyone.
You will see blocks hanging from the ceiling that show you which hallway you are in. (See the following diagram for an example.) Look for hallway F on the second floor, and we’ll be there.
See you at the Installfest!
